K2 Home Renovationswas founded in 2014 around a simple frustration: most renovations are loud — both literally, and in the way they’re sold. We wanted to build a studio that was the opposite. Considered. Quiet. Reliable. The kind of company we’d want to renovate our own homes with.
Ten years in, that’s still the brief. We’re a small, in-house team of designers and trades — joiners, tilers, plumbers, electricians, finishers — working out of one studio in Sydney. We take on a deliberate number of projects each year, so each one gets the time it actually needs.
The work that comes out of that approach is hopefully obvious: clean, warm, durable spaces that don’t shout, and that age well. The things behind the wall — waterproofing, structural detail, electrical — are done to a standard you don’t see, but you feel for the next thirty years.
